Swords of Henrique Empty

The holy Empire of Agaron once stood for a pure cause. It was home to many happy citizens who each took part in supporting the community. A prosperous time of peace and enlightenment gave priests a great seat of power in the government. With war being the least of the people's worries, the opportunity to preach a message of religious belief arose. A younger member of the Agaron Empire Council, Father Reyne, claimed to know the secret of everlasting life among the stars. Enthralled with his belief, the people of Agaron followed Reyne for years, donating to his cause, and eventually, making him the ruler of Agaron. Soon after, more of the citizens money began streaming into military funds, leaving the people drained and impoverished. With a great suffering spreading through the economic wasteland, a new promise of hope emerged from the council. With the collection of rare precious jewels, the Agaron empire would flourish again, and obtain the key to immortality. A whispered rumor vigorously grabbed the attention of the community and a new energy surrounded the kingdom. A widespread search for the jewels began. With the military being manned and well funded, the entire world began spotting Agaron forces mining in mountains across the globe. Little resistance was met as the now military state of Agaron virtually invaded every continent. Violence broke out on occasion, and few men were injured, but still they remained, searching for what legend called Templar stones. In an attempt to make peace once again, leaders of many empires met with Lord Reyne, but found reasoning to be in vain. Gossip of war began to send the world into a spiraling state of intimidation. Nations attempted to anticpate Reyne's plan of action, watching more and more soldiers being sent overseas each day. As the years passed, nations became restless, and began to resist. Lord Reyne's own son, General Kester, was caught in a firefight in the nation of Vagaran, a rich farming land with barely any military strength. After the resistance was crushed, the body of Kester was found among the dead, and carried to an Agaron ship and sent home. Kester was very dear to Lord Reyne, being the older of two sons, and his death sent the ruler into a depression. For months, his voice was not heard, his face was not seen, and his search was not halted. Finally, the attack on Vagaran was issued, and many men were sent overseas led by General Kester's younger brother, Lieutenant General Caius. The battle came as a surprise to Vagaran and ended swiftly. As every citizen fell at the hands of Agaron, Caius felt his vengeance to be close at hand. The doors of Vagaran Castle burst open with a scene of fire dancing behind the darkened figures stepping inside. One by one, castle guards were brutally slain, their blood matching the rug beneath their feet. The advance to the throne room was disappointment to the Agaron soldiers, who couldn't seem to quench their thirst for blood. The king sat calmly in the throne before Caius and his troops. He stood and placed his crown on the throne behind him. Stepping towards the Agaron soldiers, the King of Vagaran spoke firm and articulately, "I am King Gargais the Fifth. As my fathers have stood before diversity, I do now. No amount of blood...No fear of death could ever make me bow before a tyrant nation such as yours!" Caius was silent as he motioned for the execution to take place. A female soldier stepped forward and raised her sword high above the King's head. At that moment, a young boy rushed from the North-East entrance to the throne room and to his father. Caius, taking notice to the child, stopped the lady militant's strike and subdued the King. The gesture to execute was repeated, and the soldier cut the child down. King Gargais bellowed in anger and pain of loss, beating the ground with his fists. Caius struck the king, knocking him out, and threw him over his shoulder, carrying him out of the castle. With every man, woman, and child dead in the city, the king had nothing left to live for. Caius decided to let him live, dropping him on the outskirts of Vagaran to wake to his home destroyed. "Burn it all." The Lieutenant General walked away, leaving his comrades to tend to the fires. His vengeance had been carried out and he needed some time alone. The water looked calm, rippling back and forth on the shore. A breath of relief escaped from Caius as he dropped his armor to the sand and rested. A heavy weight was lifted from his heart as he prayed under the full moon. With his eyes closed, he rested on his knees and felt the cool breeze on his skin. His eyes opened wide with pain as he felt a knife stabbing him in the back. His breath shortened as he fell into the sand without a sound. "Sleep, you bastard," the conscious King whispered, "You have much more pain to experience." The glowing moon blurred and quickly turned black as Caius lost consciousness.
As his vision cleared, Caius woke with a start, feeling the wound on his back. He felt as if he were rocking back and forth as he stood. A lady sat in the corner of the room, wearing an Agaron medic uniform. "Don't stand yet," she said "You're not ready."
"Where am I?"
"You are on your way back to Agaron, hero." She spoke with a smile.
"Hero?"
"We found you with a jeweled knife in your back. We suspect them to be Templar stones."
The room spun as Caius found himself once again on the shores of Vagaran watching himself be stabbed. Once again, he passed out.

The next time he woke, Caius recognized the bed he slept in. He stood, walking to the door and exiting his room. Lord Reyne stood outside the door, embracing his son in his arms. "All deeds have a reward," his father said. A voice lingered in the air without lips to speak them: All deeds have a consequence, my son.

Attaining a higher rank in the military, Lieutenant General Caius became General Caius and continued to serve under the Agaron military for many years. War became a frequent subject in the meetings of the council. Experiments on the Templar stone began, and it seemed as if Agaron would soon gain the power it desired. A draft was issued to recruit more soldier for the ever expanding military. The citizens, displeased with the draft, resisted. In an attempt to escape the draft, many people died. However, some escaped, and those who did plotted against the Empire. In a scheme to bring down the military, the mastermind behind the resistance, Fargo, framed Caius for treason, placing him at all resistance meeting and giving evidence of his help. Forged documents, stolen military information, and weapons were some evidence used in the trials. Caius, now deemed a traitor was expelled from the Empire of Agaron.
For years, he wandered, searching for a place to welcome him, but to no avail. In his search, he found himself once again in the city of Vagaran, the place of his vengeance.

SETTING:

The game begins with a flashback, placing Caius back to where it all began.
The ruined city of Vagaran, a once flourishing fiefdom rich in exports. Dazed, General Caius staggers to his feet, looking around frantically for a landmark to recognize. From the corner of his eye, he notices a large ship with a pattern on the sail. He closes his eyes, trying to make the scene go away. Peeking them back open, he found his nightmare to be a reality. It was the Agaron family crest, in a time almost a decade past. Confused, he crosses the bridge that stands sturdy before him. The castle of Vagaran stood before him, a gentle breeze danced along the desert sand, tickling the earth.
"Oh, how beautiful this city used to be..." a voice whispered in the wind.
"My son with a tortured soul...follow my voice and cleanse your bloody hands.
"Come, son. You'll understand soon enough."

Wow. All i have to say is that i thought you had an idea for MY story. you should make your own topic. I like this story enough, how would you like to be an official member of the main dev team that works on the UNTITLED games themselves?
